Terrapin Roadshow 2025: A Star-Studded Kickoff in Monte Rio with Shannon Koehler & Natalie Cressman – Plus a KGGV Exclusive!
The spirit of the Grateful Dead lives on, and this weekend it’s rolling into Monte Rio in full force. The Terrapin Roadshow 2025 launches its highly anticipated season with a two-day musical celebration at the enchanting Monte Rio Amphitheatre, nestled along the majestic Russian River in Sonoma County.
Set for Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1, this opening weekend promises an unforgettable experience, headlined by the Terrapin All-Stars—a powerhouse ensemble featuring Sam Grisman, Grahame Lesh, Amy Helm, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Jason Crosby, and Ezra Lipp. And just when fans thought it couldn’t get any better, two dynamic guest artists have been announced to join the lineup: Shannon Koehler (of The Stone Foxes) on Saturday, and the sensational Natalie Cressman (Trey Anastasio Band) on Sunday.
KGGV 95.1 FM, your local community-powered radio station, will be sitting down for an exclusive backstage interview with members of the All-Stars and special guests—diving into the heart of the music, the magic of Monte Rio, and what fans can expect this season. Be sure to tune in or stream online for a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse at this iconic gathering!
Saturday kicks off at 4:30 p.m. with an acoustic set from Elliott Peck and Grahame Lesh, setting the vibe before the Terrapin All-Stars take the stage for two full sets at 5:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.. On Sunday, the mellow grooves start at 2:30 p.m. with an unplugged set from Alex Jordan, followed by the All-Stars’ return to the stage at 3:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. for more magic under the redwoods.
Shannon Koehler brings fiery energy to Saturday’s show—juggling drums, harmonica, and lead vocals with the same gusto that’s made The Stone Foxes a Bay Area favorite. His stage presence is electric, his musicianship gritty and soulful.
Sunday’s addition, Natalie Cressman, is a genre-bending force in modern music. Known for her soaring trombone solos and captivating vocals, she’s spent over 15 years lighting up stages with the Trey Anastasio Band. With collaborations ranging from Phil Lesh & Friends to Carlos Santana, and a vibrant duo project with Brazilian guitarist Ian Faquini, Cressman is set to elevate the Terrapin All-Stars' sound to celestial heights.
Whether you're a seasoned Deadhead or simply looking to soak in the sounds of summer, Terrapin Roadshow’s Monte Rio opener is the place to be. Two days. One river. Countless musical memories.
