There are musicians who play the music of the Grateful Dead — and then there's Grahame Lesh, who was born into it. The son of legendary bassist Phil Lesh, Grahame grew up inside one of the most beloved catalogs in American music history, and now, carrying the torch through his Terrapin Roadshow, he's bringing that spirit to stages across the country at a moment that feels more meaningful than ever. In this conversation, we talk about what it means to keep this music alive after losing Jerry, after losing his father Phil, and after the devastating loss of Bob Weir earlier this year — the last great voice of the Grateful Dead. We revisit those magical nights at Golden Gate Park last summer, what it felt like to be on that stage with Bobby, and what we understand now that we didn't understand then. This is a conversation about legacy, about love, and about why some music refuses to die.

Grahame Lesh returns to the road in 2026, bringing the Terrapin Roadshow back to amphitheaters across California, Oregon, and Colorado this spring and summer. Part concert series, part family reunion, part living tribute — the Roadshow gathers the extended Terrapin Crossroads community for nights that carry the soul of the Grateful Dead forward into something new.

This year's tour touches five iconic outdoor venues across five dates, each with its own personality and its own constellation of musicians:

May 30–31 — Monte Rio Amphitheater, Monte Rio, CA Grahame on bass alongside Jackie Greene, Dan "Lebo" Lebowitz, Jeremy Hoenig, Mookie Siegel, and Elliott Peck — plus Brian Switzer, Adam Theis, Alex Kelly, Sheldon Brown, and Mads Tolling as The Wolfpack.

July 24–26 — Forest Meadows Amphitheatre, San Rafael, CA The Terrapin Family Band featuring Nicki Bluhm — with Grahame Lesh, Ross James, Alex Koford, and Jason Crosby at the core — joined by a rotating cast of special guests including Stu Allen, Reed Mathis, Barry Sless, Tim Bluhm, Greg Loiacono, and more.

August 1–2 — Marjorie Holzgang Concert Bowl, Grants Pass, OR Celebrating Jerry Garcia's Birthday. Grahame on bass with Scott Law, Garrett Deloian, Holly Bowling, Danny Luehring, Kanika Moore, and Sunshine (Garcia) Becker — plus very special guests.

August 15–16 — Salty Gebhardt Amphitheater, Truckee, CA The Terrapin Helm Ramble Band — Grahame Lesh joined by Amy Helm & The Helm Family Midnight Ramble Band, Stu Allen, Adam MacDougall, Reed Mathis, Natalie Cressman, and Jennifer Hartswick. The Helm Family opens the night with a special set of their own.

August 22–23 — Two Rivers Park, Glenwood Springs, CO Grahame Lesh alongside Bill Nershi, Kyle Hollingsworth, Mark Levy, Ross James, and Elliott Peck — with very special guests to be announced.

The full roster across the tour reads like a who's-who of the extended Grateful Dead universe: members of The String Cheese Incident, Circles Around The Sun, Phil & Friends, the Trey Anastasio Band, Bob Weir's Wolf Bros, ALO, Billy & The Kids, and much more — all brought together by a shared love of this music and what it means to play it right.
